Distinguished Cub and Shinning Report Cards

The girls each received an award on Thursday, the Distinguished Cub award. It's based on hard work and intellectual extra-caricular activities. You don't just get it, you actually have to work for it. Just over half of Lucy's class got it and only 1/3 of Chloe's did. Chloe has earned it every year, Lucy plans to do the same.

On the last day of school the kids are sent home with their report cards. I love report cards, gives me grounds to brag. They both got all 4's, which is the numerical equivalent of straight A's, and are both way above level in reading. Chloe is high 6th grade, Lucy is at the highest level for first grade meaning she's just short of leaving kindergarten reading at a second grade level. They were adored by their teachers, perfect students I was told. We simply could not be more proud of them.
