Baby Shower

Pardon this being out of order, I blame my preggo brain. We had a baby shower on Saturday. My Dad and Lynda threw it and my mom made the cupcakes. It was fantastic, so many friends and family came out and I was surrounded by blue. Not that I don't love my girls I've just been swimming in their pinkness for 9 1/2 years and am looking forward to the change. There was tons of food, friends, family and laughs. Jon took the opportunity formally announced the baby's name and the significance of it. What better way to celebrate our soon to arrive little one, now to wait out the next 11ish weeks till his arrival.

Lucy

Today my most amazing Lucy turns 7.We've had her family party on Sunday, she had such a great time. She's my hard rockin' hippy girl so her decorations reflected that.

I made chicken soup and chili and then put out some baby shower leftovers. All in all a pretty good spread.
Time for cupcakes!!

After most everyone was gone we took a few pics with my sister and then broke out some leftover tattoos from treat bags and the girls put on their best bad ass faces!

Finally it's Halloween!

Monday was such a looong day, bright and early was the girls halloween parade. We headed back to their classes for some pics with their friends.

After a trip to the grocery store and getting a stew in the crock pot we were off to the girls class parties.

Home, a little prep and tummies full of stew later we were off to Trick or Treat with some. neighbors. It was down right exhausting roaming the hood with 7 little girls (ages 9,6,6,5,4,3,2) even though 3 dads and one mom came along. I felt bad for all our neighbors, it was like being swarmed by ducklings.

Our end of the day haul, 8.6 lbs of goodness!

Pumpkin carving and Chris's birthday

Sunday we carved pumpkins so they would still look good for Monday night. We, of course, had to wear our new Halloween shirts.

While I was upstairs Jon grabbed an apple and painted a face on it for Charlie.

The pumpkin carving officially begins!

With the exception of us helping them clean them out they marked and carved these completely by themselves! Such big girls!

All lit up. The cat head is Hani's but it was mostly done by Jon.

We then headed off to Chris's birthday party/Stacy's halloween party. The Eschler cousins.

Boo at the Zoo!

Saturday started our long weekend of fun, we woke up bright and early and took our butts to the zoo. Things got off to a bit of a rough start but we ended up having a great time, here's a few pics.

After we got home we baked a bunch of cookies and ran off to a party at some friends house. By bed time we were all exhausted.
