Happy Birthday Charlie!

7 weeks ago today our amazing baby boy was born. Labor was short but quite intense,                                                        it was everything I could have asked for. Charlie came out screaming at 4:44am on Feb, 11th at a robust 8lbs 13oz and 21inches long. He was unfortunately a bit lazy after his journey and wouldn't eat for a while and by the time we left the hospital he'd dropped to 8lbs 7oz. Within a few days he'd dropped even farther hitting 8lbs 3oz. After some long nursing sessions and a lot of work on my part he's now gaining steadily. He's smiling and cooing a bit, the girls are completely mesmerized by him.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas full of lots of family and even more love. We spent our Christmas Eve at Jon's uncle's and then off to his parents. Things started early this year so we got home with enough time to read our final installment of Gift of the Magi, put the last ornament on the advent tree and open the Christmas jammies.

The kids set out cookies and we did our Christmas magic.

Christmas day we stayed home like always and my mom came over. We opened presents, ate our traditional crepes and played with toys all day. Jon's parents came for dinner and Matt and Carly joined us for a little fun that evening.
