Oh Hannah

So we were cleaning up Christmas dinner and I suddenly realized I couldn't see Hannah. "Where's Hannah" to which Chloe answered "in the bathroom". Realizing she had to be up to no good I went in to survey the damage and there I found her doing laundry in the toilet. She had a shirt Chloe had previously discarded for dress up clothes and was dipping it in and pulling it out proud as hell of herself :)

So Wednesday night I notice Mable's ear is unbelievably swollen, about 1 1/2 inches thick. Thursday morning her ear is bleeding, I call the vet. By the time we get in the wound is about 3/4 inch long and really nasty stuff is coming out of it. The vet says she'll need to be put out so they can open it up drain it out and figure out what's going on, I can pick her up Friday. I show up this morning to pick her up and can hear her barking her butt off the the back room, yep that's my girl. She had a cyst burst and if she gets another one the ear flap will have to be amputated. We're hoping she's done and in the mean time she's got antibiotics, creams and drops galore, oh and of course the cone :)

I lied

I know I said I wasn't going to catch up but there is one event that must be covered, my sweet Lucy turned 4. We had a Fancy Nancy brunch complete with Mimosa's. It was great, lots of friends, lots of family and Lu at the center of it all.

starting over

I realize it's been a while since I last posted and instead of trying to catch up I'm just going to start from here :)

Jon is home from Cincinnati this weekend so we are decorating our tree and taking Christmas pictures. It is a snowy quiet outside and a fighting, whinning, crying circus inside. Ironically Hannah, who's working on all four eye teeth at once, is the most agreeable and content of the bunch.

I am scrambling to get Christmas finished as I want it done early this year, which means LOTS of video editing and online shopping. I'm planning to dazzle the world with my efficiency this year :)
